High-paid athletes and notable celebrities receive accolades and applause of the culture as the "greatest of all time" mirage is played out in front of us every day. But Jesus, indeed the greatest of all time, quietly taught and exemplified stooping in his ministry. The Son of God stooped a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death.
When we were born, we came forth from the womb, grabbing life. Doctors call it Palmar's Grasp, a newborn's instinctive reflex to make a fist. Though ironically, at the moment of death, we experience the opposite; our hand is opened and at ease.
